This Privacy Policy explains how LOANKWEST Capital Consultants ("LOANKWEST," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit loankwest.com, including our Spanish (/es/) and Chinese (/zh/) pages, apply for financing, send us a message, join our partner program or use the LoanKwest Assistant chat.
LOANKWEST is a subsidiary of V Capital Group, LLC. LOANKWEST is a commercial loan broker, not a lender. All loans are made by third-party lenders and are subject to each lender's underwriting, approval, terms and conditions.
Information you give us
Loan applications
Each loan program page has its own application. Depending on the program, it asks for:
- Contact details: first and last name, email, mobile phone (on the Foreign National application, a mobile or WhatsApp number with country code), best time to reach you and, on some programs, your preferred contact method.
- Your credit and financial profile: estimated credit score range, recent credit events (such as bankruptcy, foreclosure, late payments or collections), whether you have a U.S. credit score or two or more years of trade-line history, annual verifiable income, your main type of income documentation, an estimated debt-to-income range, your preferred income-verification method, existing mortgage balances and payoff amounts, U.S. bank account status and the source of your down payment.
- Citizenship and identity information: citizenship or residency status, legal classification, country of residence and the type of identification you have (for example, passport, visa or ITIN). We do not ask for your Social Security number on our applications.
- Business and title details: business or LLC name, entity name, how title is or will be held, U.S. entity and EIN status, and whether a non-borrowing spouse or partner is on title.
- Experience and occupancy: how many investment properties you own, your experience level, whether you own your primary residence, whether you plan to live in the property and how the property is occupied.
- Property and deal details: property address, city, state and ZIP; property type and number of units; purchase price, value, after-repair value, rehab budget and scope; rents and leases; taxes, insurance, HOA dues and operating expenses; existing liens and loan balances; zoning, permits, land and construction details; the loan amount, purpose, structure, term and timeline you want; and anything you choose to tell us about the deal.
- Referral and source information: who referred you and how you heard about us. On the commercial application, whether you are the buyer or owner or a professional referring a client.
- Your confirmations: the business-purpose certification, the authorization to share your information with lenders, and, if you check the optional box, your consent to be contacted by phone call, text message and email.
Contact form
Name, email, phone (optional), what best describes you, how you heard about us and who referred you (optional), topic and your message. Please don't include Social Security, bank or card numbers in a message.
Partner program form
First and last name, email, phone (optional), company (optional), state, your role (for example, loan officer, Realtor or CPA) and any notes you add.
LoanKwest Assistant (chat)
The questions you type and the assistant's answers, the page you were on and your language setting. If you tap "Talk to an advisor," we also collect your name, email and, if you give it, your phone number, and we send the conversation to a LOANKWEST advisor.
Document uploads
When you send documents (for example, income documents, leases or entity documents), you upload them through a secure third-party document portal, using the upload link on our site or the one your advisor sends you. Uploaded files are available to the LOANKWEST team and to SES (see "How we share your information"). The portal provider's own privacy terms apply to its service.
Messages with us
If you call, text, email or message us on WhatsApp, we keep a record of those communications with your file. Foreign National borrowers who choose WhatsApp are contacted through WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
First-party analytics. Our pages send small usage events to our own server, not to an outside analytics company. An event can include:
- the page path and the page you came from (referrer);
- campaign tags in the link, such as utm_ parameters, gclid or fbclid;
- the page language and your screen width;
- a device type (desktop, tablet or mobile), worked out from your browser's user agent; and
- what you did, such as viewing a page, tapping a phone or email link, opening the upload portal, clicking an Apply button, opening the chat or asking a question, or moving through an application.
Events are tied to a random visitor ID stored in your browser's local storage and a random session ID that resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Our analytics logs do not store your IP address.
Cookies and browser storage. Our public pages do not set cookies. They use your browser's storage to:
- keep the random visitor and session IDs described above;
- keep your chat conversation while you move between pages in the same browser tab; and
- save an unfinished application on your device for up to 14 days so you can pick up where you left off.
You can clear this storage at any time in your browser settings. The LOANKWEST portal at /login/, which is only for users with accounts issued by LOANKWEST, uses a session cookie to keep signed-in users logged in.
Security and abuse prevention. Our servers briefly use your IP address to limit repeated submissions and chat messages. Chat logs keep a one-way hashed version of the IP address, not the address itself. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs for security and operations.
Content loaded from other services. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and some photos from Unsplash. When your browser requests these files, those companies receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or third-party analytics tags on loankwest.com.
How we use your information
- To review your request, match it with loan programs, lenders and capital partners whose guidelines may fit, and present it to them.
- To contact you by phone, text, email and, where you choose it, WhatsApp, about your request and your future financing with us, as you agree to in the application.
- To answer your messages and chat questions and to evaluate partner sign-ups.
- To keep records of leads, applications and communications in our CRM, and to send your submission and chat transcripts to our team by email.
- To keep a referring partner informed about the status of the deal they referred.
- To understand how the site is used and to improve it.
- To protect the site, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal obligations.
How we share your information
- Lenders and capital partners. When you submit an application, you authorize us to share it. The application says: "I understand LOANKWEST is a loan broker, not a lender, and I authorize LOANKWEST to share this information with prospective lenders to find financing for my request." We share your information with the lenders and capital partners to whom your deal is presented. Each of them handles your information under its own privacy policy and may contact you about your request.
- SES. Our platform is powered by SES technology. SES provides technology and processing services to LOANKWEST and may access your application data and the files you upload.
- Referral partners. If a partner (for example, a loan officer, Realtor or CPA) referred you to us, we share the status of that deal with that partner.
- Service providers. Companies that run services for us: our web and server hosting provider, our email provider (which delivers form submissions and chat transcripts to our team), our secure document portal provider, Google Fonts and, for borrowers who choose it, WhatsApp. We may also use communication and e-signature service providers. Service providers may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Legal and safety reasons. When required by law or legal process, or to protect our rights, our users or others.
- Business transfers. If LOANKWEST is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep information
Applications, messages, partner sign-ups, chat transcripts and related records are kept in our CRM on secured hosting, available only to authorized users through the LOANKWEST Log In portal. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and for our business and legal obligations. Chat session records on our web server are deleted 45 days after the last message. An unfinished application saved in your browser expires after 14 days.
How we protect information
The site uses HTTPS. Submissions and chat records are stored in private server areas that can't be reached from the web, the CRM is available only to signed-in authorized users, and forms are rate-limited to prevent abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send Social Security, bank account or card numbers through our contact form or chat.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. See our SMS Terms.
- Calls, email and WhatsApp: tell us at loans@seqlending.com and we'll stop.
- Access, correction or deletion: email loans@seqlending.com to ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it. Information already shared with a lender is held by that lender under its own policy.
- Browser storage: clear your browser's site data to remove the visitor ID, chat history and saved application draft.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information. To make a request, email loans@seqlending.com.
Children
Our site and services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Other websites
Our site links to other sites, such as our secure document portal. Lenders may also use their own tools, such as bank-linking or tax-transcript services, during their review. Those sites and services have their own privacy policies.
Language versions
This policy is also available in Spanish and Chinese. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version controls.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date above. Material changes apply to information collected after the change.
